CHEESE AND DILL PASTRY


CHEESE AND DILL PASTRY

INGREDIENTS

  • 175 ml (1 big Turkish tea glass) sunflower oil
  • 100 gr (1 big Turkish tea glass) yoghurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 gr (1 Turkish dessert spoon) preferred vinegar
  • 4 gr (1 Turkish tea spoon) salt
  • 10 gr (1 pack) baking powder
  • 360 gr (3 cup + 2 tbsp) flour
  • ¼ cup (4 piece) fresh dill, minced
  • 200 gr (1 small bowl) feta or preferred cheese
  • 30 gr mix of sesame and black seed

METHOD

1- Separate egg yolk from white

2- Combine the oil, yogurt, egg white and vinegar in a large bowl. Mix well

3- Add dill, salt, flour (sift through a sieve) and baking powder and knead well and divide into 15 equal portions.

4- Put cheese in each piece and roll each portion of dough into a smooth ball by slightly flattening them. 

5- Cover the sheet pan with baking paper and place all the balls in evenly spaced rows.

6- Brush with egg yolk, draw plus sign using knife and sprinkle sesame and black seeds.

7- Bake in the 180 degrees preheated oven for about 30 minutes until the bottom and top are browned. Bon Appetite.
