16 Amazing Health and Nutrition Tips to Supercharge your Lifestyle

16 Amazing Health and Nutrition Tips to Supercharge your Lifestyle

  • Eating too much sugar does nothing but cause fat in the liver or around the waist, which causes many diseases and unnecessary weight gain.
  • Stay away from processed food!
  • Posture is as important as physics.
  • No Pain No Gain!
  • Watch the carbs! People who consume carbohydrates with a low glycemic index lose more weight than people who eat carbohydrates with the same calorie count but a higher glycemic index.
  • Keep your body on its toes! Switching up your big meal of the day can have great effects. If you are looking to keep your calorie intake to 1500 calories per day, rather than dividing it up by 250 calories per meal, try having a large, 500 calorie breakfast, and just a really light dinner, between 100 – 150 calories, to surprise the body.
  • Variety is key. To lose weight, don’t just stick with one type of diet, rather try several different ones. This will surprise your body and allow you to get a good nutritional balance. The same theory works for exercise, too –  try to mix and match between sports and exercises to really help your body burn fat and lose weight.
  • Keep an eye on your weight. Get on the scale at least once every 15 days, to monitor your progress and see what is working.
  • Once you begin to lose weight, don’t cut back on the work. On the contrary, increase your movement and your exercise, as shedding that last weight can be the hardest.
  • Watch the nuts. While they are a healthy snack and a good source of healthy fat, if you are eating more nuts than necessary you will open up yourself up to unhealthy days, and you’ll find it harder to lose weight.
  • Beetroots, the ultimate fuel? Researchers at the University of St Louis discovered that 5k runners ran faster if they ate beets before they ran. Try adding beets to your pre-run routine for a burst of energy.
  • To minimize menstrual cramps, you should try to get as much Omega-3 in your diet as possible. Get your protein from Omega 3 fish oil, egg whites, turkey, fish, cottage cheese, yogurt, peanuts, oats and pumpkin seeds. Soy is also a great help, and balances estrogen levels. You can get soy from soy milk, tofu, soybeans, miso soup, tempura and soy yogurt
  • The moringa plant, which originates from India, is a nutritious and natural source of energy that has a sharp, although not unpleasant taste. Moringa helps reduce blood pressure, detoxify the body and relieve asthma symptoms.
  • Healthy living is like great art. Every day, try and take the time to recognize how you shape your body like a sculptor. Be proud of your masterpiece! If you do heavy weight training instead of cardio, your fat burn will increase. If you build up your muscles, you will burn calories just by sitting, and you’ll get stronger mentally as well. Being more dynamic, stronger and fitter will help to complete missing parts in your life. Heavy weight exercises will not only increase your muscles but also strengthen your bone tissue, and your strengthened muscles will prevent damage to your joint tissue. This will in turn get rid of back, neck, spine and knee pain.
  • Parsley stalks and lemon juice help you remove toxins from your body.
  • Not just for seeing in the dark! Carrots are good for Alzheimers, and help to increase intelligence.
